Pressure Washing

Types of surface.

Block Paving (Brick)

Most common for driveways & parking spaces.

This type of stone comes in different shapes and color.

It is common for this type of paving to have a significant amount of dirt built up not only on the surface but also in the joints due to the type of its use.

You might also experience issues with weeds growing through the joints and sinking sections.

Process of cleaning this type of stone include thorough pressure wash which enables us to remove all dirt that built up on the surface and in the joints along with any weeds.

Deep clean enables to remove most roots and reduce weed growth.

Cleaning process is followed with re-sanding. Surface first has to dry to ensure that sand can fully fill the joints. This steep is necessary to stabilize your block paving and prevent from sinking.

WARNING: pressure washing your paved drive without sanding creates risk that your drive would be collapsing in sections over the next years.

Additional services include:

Level correction to the sinking sections.

Sealing - enables you to keep your drive in a good shape for longer and reduce the weed growth by thickening up the sand in your joints. Sealant is available in matt and gloss finish.

Softwash - to remove algae (black dots) if present

Indian Sandstone & Flag Stone

Indian sandstone appear to be one of the most popular choices for patio.

These characteristic large square slabs also come in different color and shape.

Organic growth is very common for this type of stone, surface often turns gray and can become slippery when wet.

Cleaning Indian sandstone usually consists of a few steps. It is initially pressure washed with a flat (vario) nozzle / flat surface cleaner and relatively low pressure. Using turbo nozzle or too high pressure could cause damage as this type of stone tends to crack off easily.

After washing off the surface dirt you'll most likely see the remaining algae (black dots) and in some cases slight discoloration caused by organic growth. Pressure washing will not resolve this problem and a softwash application is necessary.

After the surface dirt is removed and your patio rinsed down softwash solution is applied. This removes any staining and algae however depending on the condition a few applications could be required to achieve the best result.

Additional Services:

Sealing

Re-pointing

Concrete Slabs

This type of paving is common for public walkways, stair steps and backyard.

Common issues include green moss, general gray/black dirt.

Cleaning this type of surface is purely based on pressure wash what in most cases is sufficient to deliver great results.

Tarmac

This characteristic dark color surface commonly suffer with discoloration and occasionally layers of moss.

Cleaning process for this type of surface is based on a soft wash application to kill any organic growth (mainly moss). Initial treatment could require a good few weeks/months for the moss to weaken enough so it can be safely removed (depending on severity).

Following the softwash application moss is removed and surface dirt rinsed down with low pressure and flat nozzle.

Once the surface is clean and free of moss the repair & restoration process can be completed.

Small cracks are filled, any surface loses rebuilt and full surface restored to the deep dark color.

WARNING: Do not use high pressure on this type of surface as it can be easily damaged. Always test your pressure and adjust accordingly. Never use turbo nozzle to clean tarmac drive

Decking

These great looking wooden decking are commonly left unprotected what often leads to heavy staining and damage.

Most common issue is moss that covers our wood and surface becomes very slippery and dangerous when wet.

It also becomes darker due to the weather exposition and loses it's lovely color becoming gray.

Cleaning process for decking is based on pressure wash, this however requires adequate adjustment of the pressure to prevent wood damage.

You should only use flat surface cleaner or regular nozzle when cleaning your deck, Never use turbo nozzle.

Pressure washing your deck with regular nozzle you need to ensure that you follow direction of wood and clean entire length in one move without releasing the trigger. (Releasing trigger or moving lance left and right rather than in one direction will leave marks on your wood).

In some cases especially if your decking was unprotected it might require additional detergent treatment to remove heavy stains.

Depending on the age and condition of your wood some stains could be impossible to remove, if any individual sections (or single boards) have been replaced the color / brightness will differ from the rest.

All decking should be protected with decking oil or stain to protect from further wear.

Decking oil or stain is selected depending on the age and condition of your decking. Please note that color could vary considerably depending on the condition of the wood.
